The minimum requirements for a supported Windows PC are: a Pentium 4 processor, 1 GB of RAM and a hard drive of 60 GB or greater. In January of 2010, Help Desk will support Windows 7. By the end of 2010, all Windows machines which do not meet the hardware requirements for running Windows 7 will be retired and replaced with PCs capable of running Windows 7.

Back to TopRhode Island College and Microsoft Corporation have entered into a Campus Agreement permitting faculty and staff at Rhode Island College to borrow installation CD's and load selected Microsoft products on their personal computers at home. The agreement forbids the duplication of installation CDs. In addition, software covered by the Campus Agreement must be installed on a personal computer belonging to the borrower and the borrower may not lend the installation CDs to anyone else.
These products include:
