| October 5 | RIC Homecoming Parade with UB students participating (meet at Upward Bound office at 5:00pm) |
| October 6 | Saturday Academy Opening Session – Breakfast (8:00am – 8:45am) Classes (9:00am – 12:15pm) NECAP Review Workshop (12:45pm) |
| October 13 | Classes Tutoring assignments begin |
| October 20 | Classes SAT Workshop #1 |
| October 24 | College Visit to Boston College (selected students invited) |
| October 27 | Classes SAT Workshop #2 |
| October 30-November 21 | Annual Recruitment of New Class of Students General information sessions will be held in each target high school. Interested students enrolled in the 9th, 10th, and 11th grades should speak to their guidance counselors or call the Upward Bound office (456-8081) to obtain more information. |
| November 3 | Classes for Juniors and Sophomores only No classes for Seniors (taking SATs) |
| November 10 | Classes TOEFL Preparation Workshop (selected seniors only) |
| November 15 5:50pm – 8:30pm Student Union Ballroom (invitations will be mailed to families) |
Financial Aid Information Night (Overview of financial aid for college) Seniors & their parents/guardians are required to attend. Juniors & their parents/guardians are encouraged to attend. |
| November 17 | Classes meet 9:00am – 11:15am Fall term classes conclude Instructors meet with students privately to review evaluations TOEFL Test (noon – 3:00pm) for seniors who participated in workshop |
| Week of December 3 | Copies of students' fall reports will be mailed to parents/guardians, including fall academic evaluations and Academic Standards of Excellence for Continuation and Graduation from Upward Bound. |
| December 5 | Deadline for students to apply for admission to Upward Bound |
