Smoking Policy
The residence halls at Rhode Island College are a smoke free community. Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the residence halls including but not limited to rooms, bathrooms, suites, lounges, lobbies, courtyards, front desks, kitchens, recreation rooms, laundry rooms, hallways, stairways, and elevators. Smoking outside a residence hall can be done 50 feet away from the building or at a designated location by the residence hall staff. Smoking in other areas around the residence halls will be in violation of this policy.
