Jeffrey Siegel's Keyboard Conversations® will open the fifth season of his
unique "concerts with commentary" with a Sunday afternoon Family Concert
entitled "Music for the Young and the Young at Heart". The program will include
The Flight of the Bumblebee, Bartok's Diary of a Fly, Copland's Cat and the
Mouse and the minuet of the 5-year old Mozart. All are welcome from ages 7 to
107! |
Drummers of Burundi
Where: The Auditorium in Roberts Hall

"The Royal Drummers of Burundi", one of the greatest drumming ensembles in the
world, will stage a performance featuring the complex percussive music
traditions they have passed down from father to son for centuries. |
Adams Piano Recital Series: Ian Hobson

After a highly successful premiere season, we are pleased to present
another outstanding artist in the Adams Foundation Piano Recital Series.
British-born Ian Hobson is a musician of tremendous versatility who has
earned an international reputation as a pianist, conductor and teacher.
His program will include Mozart's Fantasy in C Minor, K. 475 and Sonata in C
Minor, K457; Rachmaninov's Preludes, Op. 23, Nos. 1-10; Schumann's Carnaval, Op.
8. |

Complexions Contemporary Ballet

Under the direction of former Alvin Ailey Dance Company principal dancers,
Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson, the flashy, charismatic "Complexions
Contemporary Ballet" will perform.The Company has always sought to distinguish
itself by grounding their cutting-edge choreography and original music within
the roots of classical dance. |
Bayanihan Philippine National Dance Company

"The Bayanihan Philippine National Dance Company" returns to Rhode
Island College after their successful 2001 performance. The company has
been credited with awakening a new pride among Filipinos in their
cultural heritage, while helping to preserve the country's dance
tradition and building a reserve of international goodwill. |

"Imago Theatre's FROGZ", a theatrical menagerie of wonder, whimsy and
wackiness, seen by millions worldwide on television and stage, will be
presented. FROGZ is creature-theatre at its best, populated with escaped
penguins, silent sloths, finicky, devilish strings and numerous other THINGZ.

The Muir String Quartet with Eric Ruske

The Muir String Quartet will return for their 14th year as the keystone of
our popular President's Music Series. Their first concert of the season will
include special guest Eric Ruske, french horn. The program will include Mozart's
Horn Quintet in E-flat Major as well as works by Kreisler and Mendelssohn.
Consider joining the artists and fellow patrons at our President's Music
Series Pre-Concert Buffet in the College Faculty Dining Center. Good food and
great company complete an outstanding cultural evening. Reservations for the

Michael Moschen

International performance artist Michael Moschen returns by popular demand
with a new show suitable for all ages. He is a juggler, but moves with the
deftness of a French mime, and his work has an awesome effect of magic.
Colleagues and critics have labeled him an "illusionist," a "movement artist,"
an "animator of objects" and a "dancerphysicist." You can decide for
yourself. |

After a highly successful premiere season, we are pleased to present
another outstanding artist in the Adams Foundation Piano Recital Series.
Ursula Oppens has won renown both as a persuasive interpreter of classical
repertoire and as a timeless champion of contemporary music.
Her program will include Schubert's Impromptu in B-flat Major, Op. 142, #3;
Beethoven's Sonata in E-flat Major, Opus 27; Rzewski's Mayn Yingele; Chopin's
Barcarolle Opus 60 and Ballade in A-flat Major, Opus 47; Schubert's"Wanderer"

RIC Theatre Alumna Paula Ewin portrays the indomitable Katharine Hepburn
in Matthew Lombardo's one-woman play TEA AT FIVE. Ewin depicts the strident,
31-year old star, still defiant even though she's been dubbed 'box office
poison,' and later, the 76-year-old, aging actress reflecting on a life
filled with loss. The play captures the emotional highs and lows of the
inimitable, gravelly-voiced icon of American stage and screen. |

Since winning the 2003 National Auditions for Astral Artistic Services, Time
For Three has brought its heady mix of virtuosic bluegrass, Hungarian gypsy,
jazz and even vamped-up Bach to major concert halls, TV programs, folk festivals
and classical festivals throughout the United States.
