Recent Events

October 15, 2014 - The sixth annual Research@RIC Principal Investigator (PI) recognition reception was held in the recently inaugurated Alex and Ani Hall. The reception honored faculty and administrators who have contributed to the college's commitment for building research capacity through grantsmanship and increasing awareness of faculty and student research. Attendees had the opportunity to connect with colleagues across disciplines and to discuss their research while enjoying hors d'oeuvres and sparkling cider.

Lisa Smolski, Director of Research and College Initiatives, Office of Research and Grants Administration, welcomed and thanked everyone for attending the reception. President Carriuolo then expressed her appreciation for the contributions of each person there, acknowledging their work and commitment to this college-wide effort. Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Ronald Pitt, also extended his gratitude and spoke further about the energy and dedication these individuals have shown for faculty-student research.
