Orientation Employment Opportunities

The Office of Academic Support and Information Services (OASIS) has 9 Faculty Advisor positions available for new student orientation.  Applicants must be available to work June 29- July 22, 2009 (afternoons only); August 14, 17, 18, and 19, 2009; and January 12, 13 and 14, 2010.  Candidates must have knowledge of RIC curricula, programs, and policies, as well as experience working with students both inside the classroom and outside the classroom, including expertise as an academic advisor. The salary for the position is $3750. 

OASIS has 12 Student Peer Counselor positions available.  Candidates must be available to work June 22 through July 22, 2009; August 14, 17, 18, and 19, 2009; and January 12, 13 and 14, 2010.  The position requires a high degree of interpersonal and leadership skills, knowledge of RIC curricula and policies, a GPA of 2.40 or better, and the enthusiasm to help acquaint new students and their families with the college. The salary is $1700 ($1900 returning peers); separate compensation for August and January.
