2016 Transfer Navigator Application
The Office of Academic Support and Information Services (OASIS) has 10 Transfer Navigator positions available. Candidates must be available to work at Transfer orientation which consists of 9 separate sessions scheduled across the months of May through August. In addition, there will be two training sessions in the last two weeks of April. Navigators must be available for all sessions.
In order to provide a successful transition to Rhode Island College, the role of the Transfer Navigator is to help acquaint our incoming transfer, readmitted, and Second Bachelor Degree students with the college and all of its aspects – academic, social, and cultural. The position of Transfer Navigator requires a high degree of interpersonal and leadership skills as well as professional conduct. The Transfer Navigator should have an interest in helping incoming transfer students, demonstrate an involvement on campus, and have a minimum 2.75 GPA. Applicants who have transferred into Rhode Island College are preferred.
