In a tracking survey released on the eve of Friday’s first Presidential Debate Obama continues to lead McCain among Rhode Island voters, but his support slipped eight points. Most of the interviews were completed before McCain suspended campaigning yesterday.

In 2004, Rhode Island College was chosen as a DebateWatch site by the National Commission on Presidential Debates and broke all attendance records in the history of the program. The college will host another Debatewatch on Sept. 26.
