Undergraduate Curriculum Committee
Announcement from Undergraduate Curriculum Committee Chair:
The first meeting of the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee for the 2012-2013 academic year will be Friday, September 21 in the Board of Governors room from 2-4pm. Subsequent meetings are scheduled at the same venue and time, unless otherwise notified, for the third Friday in each month: October 19, November 16, December 21, February 15, March 22, April 19 and May 17.
Proposals to be considered at each meeting are due by noon on the last Friday of each month prior to the month in which the proposal will be presented. This is 21 days prior to each scheduled Undergraduate Curriculum Committee meeting (all dates listed below). This is necessary to enable the Executive Committee to check them through and make any necessary changes, and to allow time for minor revisions before coming to the full committee.

Please check that you have used the right form (we have updated this so that all proposals can be submitted using the same form that is split into different sections, so be certain that you are using the form that is currently on this website), provided the correct information (including clear catalog copy that just includes those pages you plan to change, not whole sections of the catalog), and are in the process of obtaining all of the necessary signatures before emailing proposals to the Chair of the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee at curriculum@ric.edu. The names and affiliations of those whose signatures are being collected should be typed in on the approval/acknowledgement page of each proposal before submission. There are full instructions for filling out this form on the UCC website (general guidelines in the UCC Manual, section 4.2, and further instructions on the proposal forms themselves). There is also a timeline on the Forms and Information page to give you a sense of when you need to get proposals to the committee to enable a timely implementation.
