Learn how to "advertise" your skills and ability to add value when speaking to prospective employers. Program participants will be given first opportunity to sign-up for a mock-interview.
Practice your interviewing skills with an HR professional. Learn what you do well, what you can improve upon, and strategies to make you a better interviewer. Students who attend the February 18th interviewing workshop will be given priority for scheduling a mock interview session.

You will get the most out of your mock interview experience if you treat it as if it were a real interview. To that end:
Select one of the following positions (you may substitute one of your own – be sure to bring a copy of the substitute description to share with your interviewer)and pretend that you will actually interview for it:
Research the organization in advance of your mock interview
Be prepared to discuss how your skills, education, experiences qualify you for the position
How do you present your creative work to a prospective employer? Join Judy Nylen, director of career services at Pratt Institute and instructor for a portfolio development course, as she discusses what goes into an impressive, professional portfolio. Judy will critique a RIC student's portfolio as part of her presentation and time permitting will review portfolios that you bring with you.
